Conventional Gas Water Heaters

Independent studies have shown that using a propane hot water heater will save you about $2000 in energy costs over the life of the water heater. Because a propane water heater heats water so much faster than an electric heater, a 30 gallon propane water heater yields more hot water that an 80 gallon electric model. Propane water heaters also require less maintenance. The propane burners last the life of the unit, while the electric elements, in electric water heaters, must often be replaced due to burnout or mineral deposits.
